The first place I photographed in Firenze. I don’t know why I was moved to photograph it. It’s not pretty. It’s not Renaissance. I just had a hunch. It felt like a real place in a city of fairy-tales. It just had a good feeling. I was right about this place. It’s a sweet spot to hang out. The people are the real deal. The barista hangs in the doorway watching the street when they are not busy. Besides, the coffee is great. They know it. But they don’t let it go to their heads. They will make a flat white. Repeat, they are Italian and they will make a flat white. Think about it. Down to earth. Combine this with a visit to the Saint Ambrogio Markets.
